Barbeque Rib Brine
This brine is designed to infuse your ribs with a delightful flavor while ensuring they stay moist during cooking. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious brine that will elevate your barbeque to the next level.

Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 cup kosher salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons black peppercorns
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 bay leaves
- Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the water, kosher salt, and brown sugar. Stir well over medium heat until the salt and sugar have completely dissolved.
- Add the black peppercorns, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, apple cider vinegar, and bay leaves into the pot. If you like a little heat, you can also add some red pepper flakes at this stage.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then turn off the heat and let it cool down. Once cooled, cover and refrigerate the brine for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.
- When ready to brine your ribs, place the ribs in a large container or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the cooled brine over the ribs, ensuring they are completely submerged. Seal the bag or cover the container and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
- After brining, remove the ribs from the brine and pat them dry with paper towels. Now they are ready to be seasoned and cooked to perfection!
Enjoy your delicious, tender barbeque ribs that will have everyone begging for seconds!
