Linda’s Easy Lasagna

This lasagna is not only delicious but also easy to prepare. It’s made with a few simple ingredients that come together beautifully. Here are what you’ll need to create this scrumptious lasagna:
Ingredients:
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot of boiling water, cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the marinara sauce to the skillet with the cooked beef. Stir in the garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for a few minutes while you prepare the cheese mixture.
- In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- To assemble the lasagna, spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Place 3 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of the meat sauce. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles and a final layer of meat sauce on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top layer.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil (to prevent sticking, spray foil with cooking spray) and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for about 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
