First, let’s take a look at our beautiful dish. It’s not only easy to prepare but also creates minimal cleanup – a win-win!

Pot Roast Foil Packs

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of chuck roast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. On a large piece of aluminum foil, lay down a generous amount of the diced potatoes and carrots. This will act as the base for your pot roast.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the chuck roast pieces, chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
  4. Place a portion of the beef mixture on top of the vegetables in the foil, then fold the foil into a packet, ensuring it’s tightly sealed to keep all the flavors inside.
  5. Place the foil packets on the grill or in the oven. Cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meat is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
  6. Once done, carefully open the foil packets, as steam will escape. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary, if desired, and enjoy your meal!

These Pot Roast Foil Packs are deliciously satisfying and perfect for any occasion. I love how easy it is to throw everything together and let it cook while I focus on other things. Enjoy the flavors and the time spent with loved ones!
