Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 pound ground veal
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, and ground veal. Mix well until fully integrated.
- In a separate bowl, soak the breadcrumbs in milk for about 5 minutes, then add this mixture to the meat mixture.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture. If you’re using parsley, add that too!
- Using your hands (or a spatula), combine all the ingredients until just mixed—don’t overwork the meat.
- Transfer the mixture into a loaf pan, shaping it gently into a loaf.
- Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This will make for easier servings and allow the juices to redistribute.
- Serve with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables, and enjoy!
